Job Description: Process Design Engineer

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for investigating, designing, developing, and testing new concepts to improve performance metrics in our product manufacturing areas. Your duties will also include modifying or repairing machine components, creating prototypes, managing capital improvement projects, designing modifications to production machines, installing and testing new machine designs, and providing technical support and training to our team members. In addition, you will have opportunities to travel to other locations, meet vendors and customers, and attend trade shows and training sessions.

Hard Skills:

• The successful candidate should have a minimum of two years of experience in manufacturing engineering, specifically within the automotive manufacturing field
• The project manager needs to identify and mitigate any potential risks that could arise during the process of purchasing and integrating new equipment
• CAD software proficiency is critical in industries where precision is of paramount importance, and designers can benefit from familiarity with AutoCAD, Inventor, AutoDesk, and other robust applications

Soft Skills:

• Managing both project timelines and financial budgets is a vital component of project success
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Unmatched skill in facilitating productive discussions and reaching agreements
• Individuals with training and technical instruction competencies prove to be valuable resources in various fields

The offered job is a lasting, full-time position.

The work site for this job is strictly in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, with no remote work.

You’ll be operating in a high-pressure manufacturing environment with a capacity to produce more than 500 million items annually, such as automotive wheel weights and battery terminals, through various production methods and equipment, including die casting, stamping, powder coating, and robotics.
